Windows 2003 Server features explained in WWTC course

Western Wisconsin Technical College is offering a two-day course on the Windows Server 2003 operating system. The class will be on Fridays, Nov. 11 and Nov. 18, from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. in Room 205 of WWTC’s Business Education Center, 405 8th St. N., La Crosse.
Designed for system and network administrators, the course will cover specific features of the Windows 2003 Server. Participants will have the opportunity to experience hands-on installing, configuring and securing various components.
Topics will include: Windows 2003 Server installation, installing and configuring DNS, installing Active Directory, using group policies to manage users and resources, installing and configuring DHCP, using distributed file systems, patch management using SUS (Software Update Services) or WSUS (Windows Server Update Services), and introduction to VB/WMI scripting.
