In celebration of International Education Week, Nov. 14-18, Western Wisconsin Technical College will be hosting a Multicultural Event on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 9:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. in room 200 of the Academic Resource Center, located on the La Crosse campus.

The event will feature international food tasting, displays, cultural presentations, and door prizes. It is free and open to the public.

With representation from countries such as China, Colombia, Gambia, Pakistan, Peru, Russia, and Taiwan, WWTC currently has 18 international students participating in degree programs. Nearly 40 international students are participating in WWTC’s Goal-Oriented Adult Learning Program.

International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to recognize and promote the global exchange environment between the United States and other countries. The WWTC event is sponsored by the WWTC Diversity and Global Education Committee.
