WWTC offers free computer support

Western Wisconsin Technical College Information Technology-User Support and Training students are offering free computer support to the public for the next several weeks.
“This time of year, people who received new computers for Christmas may be looking for advice on getting them set up,” said Dawn Fread, WWTC IT-User Support and Training instructor. “This is a great opportunity for the students to get experience working with people and answering their questions over the phone. It’s much more valuable than classroom simulations.”
The students can be reached between 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 11, 18, 25, and Feb. 1, by calling 608.785.9900 or e-mailing email@example.com. They will be prepared to help with basic computer support questions, including assistance with Microsoft Office programs. Mini-training sessions can also be scheduled for people who would prefer to come in and work one-on-one with a student.
