Western dental hygiene program looking for patients

Western Technical College’s Dental Hygiene program is recruiting patients in need of dental cleaning to be a part of the students’ clinical experiences. Ideal candidates are individuals who have not had a dental cleaning in the last three to five years. The students will be performing the services under the guidance and supervision of their instructors.
“It’s exciting to be able to offer basic dental cleaning services to people within our community at a reasonable cost while providing the clinical experiences necessary to meet the students’ needs,” said Barb Jerue, Dental Hygiene instructor at Western. “It’s a win-win situation for everyone.”
Appointment times are available Monday and Thursday mornings and Tuesday afternoons beginning August 30 and can be made by calling 608.789.6101. The charge is $25 for adults and $20 for children. Medical Assistance patients pay the standard co-pay.
