The focus of the Building Systems Technology program is to prepare individuals for entry-level work in the growing clean energy, energy efficiency, and building systems industry. The first year focuses on providing a sound foundation in the basic skills that apply to the broad range of building types in the region, while the second year focuses on systems integration, energy stimulation, and site designs and analysis. Areas of focus include green building design and construction, clean energy fundamentals, energy auditing/analysis, systems commissioning, systems control and interoperability, retrofit techniques, safety and community projects.
