This one-year technical diploma option provides the student with the required knowledge and skills to obtain an entry-level installation and maintenance position in areas such as Computers, Business Equipment, Security/Fire Alarm Systems, Audio Systems, Home Automation, Alternative Energy and Vending/Gaming Equipment.
Coverage of the fundamental topics of AC/DC, solid state devices, and fabrication lays the foundation for a systems-level approach to installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of many types of electronic systems. Customer relations skills are presented as part of various courses from a field service approach.
Completion of this program concentration will also satisfy 8 credits of the Biomedical Electronics Technology Program.
