Program Overview

This certificate introduces semiconductor devices such as diodes, transistors, SCRs, TRIACs Power FETs, and IGBTs. Semiconductor applications including rectification, power supplies, optical isolation, solid state relays, and pulse-width-modulated motor speed control are presented. Methods for testing and troubleshooting of these devices are investigated. Prerequisite: Completion of Electricity Fundamentals certificate or instructor approval.
