How to Use the Cavalier Cupboard

First-time users need to register using a client in-take form via the Student Resource Request form. The personal information in this form will be kept confidential. We will only report utilization of the pantry to gain future donations.

After the in-take form is completed, student IDs will be activated by the Student Life Specialist within a couple of days. Students who have registered and have access via their student ID can swipe into the Cavalier Cupboard during business hours.

Location and Hours

The Cavalier Cupboard is located in the Student Success Center, Room 214 (the Basic Needs Center). It's open 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Other Western Cupboards

  • Black River Falls Regional Location has a mini cupboard in their resource room.
  • Tomah Regional Location has a mini cupboard in their lower level.
  • Diesel and Heavy Equipment Center has a mini cupboard in their student lounge.

All of these mini cupboards are self-sustaining. Students can take what they need and donations can be added directly to the shelves.

In-Kind Donations

We accept non-perishable food items, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, paper products, baby food and diapers, and school supplies. View a list of food we often need (PDF).

Non-perishable donations can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Coleman Center, General Studies Division Office, room 250
  • Coleman Center, 2nd floor outside of faculty offices
  • Coleman Center, 2nd floor computer lab space
  • Integrated Technology Center, Division Office, room 105
  • Kumm Center, Student Union, next to the ATM
  • Student Success Center, Learner Support Services Division Office, room 127
  • Student Success Center, Welcome Center

Monetary Donations

Cash or check donations can be dropped off at the Basic Needs Center at the Student Success Center, room 214, or make your donation online. All monetary donations are tax deductible.

Volunteer

Volunteers are always needed to stock and organize the Cavalier Cupboard. You can sign up for a few hours or for a regular weekly schedule. We have events we seek additional volunteer assistance for as well.
