Western takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of our website and digital tools:

  • Include accessibility as part of our website design, development, and content review processes
  • Provide accessibility training and guidance to staff who create or manage digital content
  • Assign staff responsibility for receiving, triaging, and resolving accessibility-related requests
  • Conduct regular accessibility testing using automated scanning tools and manual testing, including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader testing
  • Consider accessibility requirements when evaluating and procuring new software, learning tools, and vendor platforms
  • Coordinate with IT and college departments to investigate and remediate reported accessibility issues
