Five people accept Futuremaker award.

 

La Crosse, WIS., July 15, 2026 - Western Technical College and the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Board presented Wieser Brothers General Contractor, Inc. with the Futuremaker Partner Award at the WTCS annual board meeting, hosted by Western.


The award recognizes local businesses and organizations that partner with Wisconsin’s technical colleges. “I am honored to recognize Wieser Brothers General Contracting with the Futuremaker Partner Award,” said Sara Rogers, WTCS Board president. “Wieser Brothers has been an exceptional partner to Western Technical College, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to student success, workforce development, and our communities’ future. By hiring graduates, offering internships, and investing their time, expertise, and resources, they have created clear pathways from education to rewarding careers in building and construction trades. Wieser Brothers exemplifies the spirit of this award, and their partnership with Western is a strong example of how collaboration between employers and colleges strengthens Wisconsin’s workforce and economy.”


Wieser Brothers has collaborated with Western on projects such as the recent Wanek Center of Innovation renovation, has served on committees and boards, provided scholarships, and hired Western students and graduates.
