International Students

To decide on a program, check out the options available at Western.

• Submit Western’s online application for admission online
• Pay the non-refundable application fee of $100 USD to the Cashier’s Office (make note that you are applying as an international student)

• Submit your high school/post-secondary transcripts (must be original and in English)
• Send in your TOEFL/IELTS scores (valid up to three years)
• Write a letter explaining your intention to return home after completing education at Western. View a sample letter (PDF)
• Submit a financial verification form (PDF) (Form 1)
• Provide official bank statements (checking account, savings account, or other asset statements - must be original and in English)
• Provide proof of housing. View a sample letter (PDF)
• Provide proof of health insurance
• Provide Affidavit of Support I-134 (if student is being sponsored by a U.S. resident)
• Submit emergency contact information (PDF) (Form 2)
• Provide a copy of current passport
• Provide a copy of receipt for proof of payment of SEVIS form I-901 ($350.00 USD)
• Submit transfer-in/transfer-out form (applicable only if student is a current F1 student)​
