Western students receive access to affordable healthcare options at one of our partner provider locations. The UWL Student Health Center and Neighborhood Family Clinics are dedicated to meeting the unique healthcare needs of Western students.
Services covered at our participating provider locations include primary care for services and acute medical care needs. For a full list of available services, visit one of our provider websites.
Eligibility Guidelines
Students enrolled in degree seeking credit-bearing classes are eligible for health services provided through one of our Health Service Provider locations. In addition, all enrolled students will also pay a copay upon use of student health services that will be billed to the student's Western account in the amount of $10 per visit.
Student Health Insurance
Western Technical College does not carry medical insurance to cover students. Students are responsible their own coverage in case of an injury, accident, or incident that might require medical attention. You can enroll into affordable health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplaces. The Marketplaces are a revolutionary way to shop for insurance—you can compare costs and benefits and find out if you are eligible for new tax credits.
