In accordance with HEOA 489 Amended HEA Sec. 485B, Western Technical College is required to disclose to all borrowers that any loan borrowed by a student or eligible parent will be submitted to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).

Vaccinations
State law requires students in specific programs to complete a Criminal/Caregiver Background Check to fully complete program requirements.

Keyboarding Proficiency Test
The keyboarding proficiency skill test is a two-minute, timed test proctored in Western’s Assessment Center and at our regional locations.
Proctor Services
We provide proctoring services for individuals enrolled in distance or online classes through other institutions and those who need to complete professional exams for career placement or advancement.
GED/HSED Testing
General Education Development (GED) and High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) testing is conducted at Pearson VUE® Authorized Test Centers located in the Assessment Center on the La Crosse Campus and at Western’s Tomah location.
HESI A2 Exam
The HESI Admission Assessment Exam measures students' knowledge of various academic subjects including mathematics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and anatomy and physiology.
ACCUPLACER Testing
Assess Your Skills for Apprenticeship
ACCUPLACER testing is only required for some Apprenticeship students. ACCUPLACER is a computer-based, online assessment that measures your abilities in writing, reading, and arithmetic.
