Student Parking

Getting a student parking permit is quick and easy. You can now purchase parking permits online, and we no longer require a hanging placard!

Important Notes

  • Western parking permits are NOT valid at the Health Science Center building as they have their own parameters in place for parking in their lot. Western students must utilize street parking.
  • If you have classes at the La Crosse campus between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., a parking permit is required or you will be issued a citation beginning in September 2025.
  • Parking permits are NOT required at the Regional Locations, Sparta Public Safety Training Facility, Automotive Center, Diesel and Heavy Equipment Center, and Apprenticeship and Industry Training Center.
  • If you are a student who also works on campus, you should purchase a student permit.
