If you’re considering a four-year college or university, consider this: taking credits at Western could save you 40 percent over the cost of a four-year university in Wisconsin, and it's one-sixth the cost of the average private college. You could save thousands of dollars, take on much less debt, and graduate with the same degree! If you have a particular college or university in mind, you'll want to check out how your credits will transfer before enrolling.
The Associate of Science-Liberal Arts (ASLA) transfer programs are designed to help you on the path to a bachelor’s degree whether you are undecided in your major, have a specific career in mind, or would like to earn a two year transfer degree.
Some students choose to take the ASLA Full Degree, while many take select courses. Once you complete the application process, a Western advisor will work with you on your transfer plan.
Within the ASLA program, there are options to meet a variety of educational goals:
Engineering Pathway that transfers directly to Viterbo University's Engineering bachelor's degree. Learn more about this option.
Business Pathway with UW-La Crosse that allows you to take general studies and business classes, then transfer all 58-59 credits directly into one of seven UW-La Crosse business programs. View the Business Pathway transfer agreement.
UW-Madison Pathway that allows Western students to transfer a minimum of 54 credits toward a UW degree program. Learn more about this agreement.
