Parking Ticket Appeals

If you believe you received a ticket in error, reach out to Grant in Campus Community Safety using mathug@westerntc.edu and he can assist you in the process of submitting an appeal. Parking appeals are only accepted using the online appeal form which he will share with you. Written letters, notations on citations, or other correspondence in lieu of payment are not considered valid appeals. Appellants who need any additional assistance with the online form may visit the Campus Community Safety Office in Coleman Center during regular business hours. The following circumstances for appeal are not valid and will not be accepted:

  1. Parking without a permit or without paying for a permit
  2. Entering the wrong license plate at the point of purchase
  3. Failure to display a permit and/or disabled placard
  4. Lack of available or convenient parking spaces
  5. Parking for a short period of time
  6. Not seeing/reading signage
  7. First time offense

Appeals that are not denied due to criteria above will be reviewed, but this does not guarantee that appeals will be granted.

Purchase of a permit is an acknowledgment and understanding of college parking policies.
