Start Fall Term Strong

Online Readiness Training

Many of our classes are offered in an online format, and our required Online Readiness Training Video will help prepare you for this learning environment. Click here to learn more.

Bookstore

If you haven’t already picked up your textbooks and materials, the Campus Shop Bookstore offers online delivery service as well as in-store purchasing.  Check www.westerntcbooks.com for more information. If you're planning to charge your books against your Financial Aid, the deadline is Sept. 17. (Even if your classes don't start until later, please make sure to charge your books before the deadline.)

PC Service

If you’re having trouble accessing your MyWestern student portal, student portal, or Blackboard, reach out to Western’s Information Technology Services (PC Services) Help Desk. You can find more information at www.westerntc.edu/information-technology-services, or email PCService@westerntc.edu for assistance.

Student Account Training Video

This video talks about resetting your password, but it is also an easy way to set up your account if you haven’t already done so. If you have it set up and remember your password, you can skip ahead in the video to the 1 minute, 30 second mark and follow along from that point to learn how to log in and navigate your portal, as well as how to check your student email account.

These accounts are important for receiving ongoing updates, next steps, and action items.

Registration and Academic Plan Training Videos

It may also be helpful to review how to register for classes. The Registration Training video below walks through the steps. The Academic Plan Training Video will introduce you to your academic plan, a tool which will help keep you on track during your time at Western. The Academic Plan will also help you register for your courses. If you already know what classes you need to take, you can go through the process and put the classes in your cart prior to your meeting with your Admissions Coach or College Advisor. If not, they will be happy to help!

   

 

 

Financial Aid

If you have questions about the status of your Financial Aid or if you have concerns about funding your education, our Office of Student Financial Aid can help.

Basic Needs Support

Western provides support and resources to students who may be experiencing difficulties with any of the following: food, housing, finances, transition to online learning, stress, mental health, etc. If you would like to discuss getting assistance with these barriers, please complete the Student Resource Request form, and we'll be in touch within 2-3 business days.
